We tested and calibrated our Air Quality Monitor with an continuous ambient air quality monitoring station (CAAQMS) in our neighbourhood, which is installed by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB). Find air quality data as monitored by the KSPCB Jayanagar station here.

What you see on your Breathe AQM is only indicative data. It is not lab tested.

Procedure we followed:

  1. We placed the Breathe AQM near the KSPCB AQM station.
  2. We checked the data for a period of 1-2 hours to correlate PM2.5 Pollutants.
  3. We collected the data and found the Average of the data.
  4. We compared data from the CAAQMS and from Breathe.
  5. We calculated the % of the difference in data.

According to our tests, the difference or percentage error is about ±12%, which is in accordance with that mentioned in the HPM sensor datasheet. Find other info about HPM sensor here.
